The Big Time Summit FinTech event concluded in Cyprus, celebrating the ongoing successes in the adoption of crypto and blockchain technology by businesses across the world. The event hosted by the global payments infrastructure network Mercuryo took place on July 7 and saw over 30 panels, roundtable discussions and workshops with around 400 participants in attendance. The international PR firm Drofa Comms, and prominent media outlets such as Cointelegraph, Cryptopolitan, Crypto.news, NewsBTC, CoinCodex, Cryptonewsz, and others acted as Mercuryo’s media partners for the event, providing information support.
The Summit brought together industry leaders, developers and innovators in FinTech from around the globe, with speakers representing well-known giants like Binance, TrustWallet, 1inch, Metamask, Sumsub, Solana, Consensys, TON Foundation and more, delivering presentations and sharing their thoughts on recent market trends.
Topics such as leveraging blockchain technology in businesses, crypto neobanking and its influence on the global financial ecosystem, as well as crypto-based cross-border payments were popular subjects that saw a lot of exposure during the event.
Another major point of discussion was the current regulatory landscape in crypto, as a lot of participants spoke in favour of the recently approved MiCA framework and its potential for bringing a great deal of comprehensiveness to the market once fully in effect. That many businesses are willing to adapt and work with regulators so long as greater clarity in rules is offered was a prominent point of view shared among the speakers.
Big Time Summit also offered a stage ripe with networking opportunities, as both between presentations and after the conclusion of the main event, attendees were able to share thoughts and experiences related to the topics raised during the course of the event.
