In a recent survey conducted by Athenahealth, an overwhelming number of physicians reported experiencing burnout, attributing this to excessive work hours, administrative burdens, and staffing shortages. The survey, which involved 1,003 doctors and was carried out between October 23 and November 8 through The Harris Poll, revealed that 93 percent of the respondents feel burned out after working 15 hours beyond their normal schedules.
