Crypto Exchange Bybit to List DOGS Meme Coin on August 26
Leading global cryptocurrency exchange Bybit will list the newly launched meme coin DOGS for trading on August 26. In a press release shared on Wednesday, the company announced that DOGS will be available for trading on its spot market at approximately 12:00 UTC.
The marketplace which offers access to both Bitcoin and Ethereum is equipped with advanced trading tools and high liquidity to cater for both new and experienced traders.
Promotional Events and Rewards
To attract users to participate in the launch, Bybit will host a series of events to reward users with DOGS tokens. The exchange, which brands itself as the “second-largest crypto exchange by trading volume”, will kick off the Token Splash: Trade to Earn program on Friday, August 23.
Through this initiative, users who trade at least $500 worth of DOGS using the USDT stablecoin will have the chance to earn up to 30,000,000 DOGS. Bybit has allocated a total prize pool of 550,000,000 DOGS for the event.
Additionally, the exchange has scheduled an airdrop campaign for today, August 21, where 350,000,000 DOGS will be distributed to participants of its Airdrop & Hot Coin Extravaganza program. Following this, another batch of the meme coins will be airdropped between August 23 and August 30, 2024.
The exchange also plans to reward users who refer friends and family to the Token Splash program with 25,000 DOGS for each successful referral.
81.5% of DOGS Supply to Be Airdropped to Users
DOGS is one of the latest meme coins gaining traction in the crypto industry. The token, recently launched on the TON blockchain (The Open Network) has been airdropped to active Telegram users who engaged with the project.
The project developers allocated 81.5% of the total token supply – equivalent to 400 billion DOGS – to be distributed among 42.2 million eligible users. So far, 8 million users have claimed their token shares.
The remaining tokens will be distributed to Bybit users on August 23. The project developers have partnered with both Bybit and Binance to support the DOGS airdrop and share the token to qualified wallet addresses.
Both exchanges will list the token for trading on August 26. However, Binance will offer DOGS in four trading pairs such as DOGS/USDT, DOGS/BNB, DOGS/FDUSD, and DOGS/TRY while Bybit only has the DOGS/USDT pair.
In addition, Binance has added DOGS to its Launchpool. Earlier today, the exchange founded by Changpeng Zhao (CZ), announced that DOGS is the 57th crypto project to join the program, giving users the opportunity to farm the meme coin ahead of its listing.
