Hosted by ETHGlobal, ETHOnline 2024 is an async hackathon that brings together several companies and projects building on Ethereum, giving developers a chance to compete for major prizes and grants. The hackathon kicked off on August 23, 2024, and will run till September 13, 2024.
The event welcomes over 20 partners – each running a mini-hackathon – with a total of $225,000 up for grabs. One notable partner is SSV Network, whose hackathon will run for three weeks – from August 23 to September 13 – offering a $10,000 reward shared between the top two teams in three categories, or “tracks”. The hackathon will reward the most creative developers who build a staking application using SSV Network’s tooling, those with the best use cases of SSV data, and the best onboarding systems for the community.
Other partners in ETHOnline include Chainlink, Hedera, Fhenix, Avail Network, Morph, and Nethermind, among others.

EBC Hackathon
The European Blockchain Convention (EBC) announced the second edition of the EBC Hackathon, which brings together top developers across Europe to compete and learn from each other. This year’s edition will be hosted in Barcelona, Spain from September 25 to September 26, with 6,000 attendees and 250 speakers expected at the event.
The hackathon aims to provide developers with a platform to learn from experienced developers in the space, networking opportunities, gain practical, hands-on experience to advance their careers in Web 3, and collaborate with other cross-disciplinary developers. Notwithstanding, participants will be allowed to showcase their ideas and talents and get access to mentorship programs from skilled devs.
The hackathon is a free-to-attend conference. The EBC Hackathon will enable participants to advance their Web 3 knowledge, network with peers, enjoy fun live sessions, build technical projects, and make new memories.

ETH Safari
Dubbed the largest Web 3 conference in Africa, ETH Safari is an annual conference held in the coastal cities in Kenya, bringing together thousands of the ETH community from around the world. This year’s conference starts with a hackathon event, held in Nairobi, Kenya, from 8 September 2024 to 12 September 2024. The event welcomes a host of partners including AVa Labs, Internet Computer Protocol, Lisk, Optimism, Starkware, Base, and UTU, among others.
This year's hackathon aims to educate and elevate Web 3 builders in a quest to build better decentralized projects and innovative projects for African communities. This year’s ETHSafari hackathon is all about marketing and creating innovation for prosperity. Participants must identify a specific problem within set focus areas and propose a blockchain-based solution that is innovative, practical, and scalable. The projects should demonstrate the potential of on-chain technology to create positive social and economic impacts, particularly in emerging markets.
Winners will be announced at the main conference on September 15th 2024, with a chance to get grants and other rewards.
