Google has several experimental AI assistant projects that all have a different function in mind, such as helping users with video games and in depth research.
Google AI research lab DeepMind says its newly released artificial intelligence model, Gemini 2.0, will be the bedrock used to build more advanced AI agents.
An AI agent powered by Gemini 2.0, released Dec. 11, can understand complex instructions, plan, reason, take action across websites and can even assist with video game strategy, Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis and chief technology officer Koray Kavukcuoglu said in a Dec. 11 blog post.
“The practical application of AI agents is a research area full of exciting possibilities,” Hassabis and Kavukcuoglu said.
