Binance, the leading global crypto exchange, has issued a final notice regarding the delisting of certain tokens from its platform. This announcement serves as a crucial alert to users, urging them to take prompt action before these tokens are officially removed from the exchange.
Binance’s new window for USDT conversion
Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange by trading volume, has announced that from December 5 to December 25, 2023, it will resume withdrawals for 12 delisted tokens. The announcement reads:
Fellow Binancians, following feedback from the community, Binance will re-open withdrawals for the following 12 delisted tokens from 2023-12-05 00:00 (UTC) to 2023-12-25 23:59 (UTC). After 2023-12-25 23:59 (UTC), withdrawals for these delisted tokens will no longer be supported. Users will still be able to view the remaining token balances in their Binance wallets, where applicable.
Official statement
The 12 tokens in question include Aion (AION), Beam (BEAM), Bitcoin Diamond (BCD), GoChain (GO), Neblio (NEBL), Nebulas (NAS), Neutrino Token (NSBT), Nexus (NXS), Viacoin (VIA), Skycoin (SKY), Songbird (SGB), and YOYOW (YOYO).
In addition, at 2023-12-26 00:00 (UTC), Binance will convert BEAM, BCD, GO, NEBL, NAS, NSBT, and SGB tokens to USDT based on user holdings in their Binance wallets. By 2024-06-25 23:59 (UTC), Binance will replace these seven tokens in users’ Binance wallets with an equivalent amount of USDT.
The conversion will be carried out using the average token to USDT exchange rate between 2023-12-26 00:00 (UTC) and 2024-06-25 23:59 (UTC) (the “Conversion Period”). Please keep in mind that Binance will update this statement and send a separate email to all affected customers once the aforementioned seven tokens have been converted to USDT.
The email will also include more information on the average exchange rates during the Conversion Period.
Note that!! Deposits of any of the aforementioned tokens are no longer accepted and will not be credited to users’ accounts.
According to the crypto exchange, Binance will not process any USDT conversions for AION, NXS, VIA, SKY, or YOYO. Please keep in mind that users will no longer be able to withdraw or convert these tokens after 2023-12-25 at 23:59 (UTC).
Users’ BEAM, BCD, GO, NEBL, NAS, NSBT, and SGB tokens will be converted to USDT on any Binance wallet by 2024-06-25 23:59 (UTC). Users will be unable to view the above tokens in their Binance wallets during the Conversion Period.
Price action of the soon-to-be delisted coins
Most of these coins have tanked in value and have not been able to cash in on the bull market. Aion (AION) is currently worth $0.001640243815, a -1.3% decrease from an hour ago and a -5.7% decrease from yesterday.
The value of AION today is -4.1% lower than it was 7 days ago. In the last seven days, the daily exchange rate of Aion (AION) to USD ranged from a high of $0.00199919 on Tuesday to a low of $0.00164024 on Monday.
Bitcoin Diamond (BCD) is currently worth $0.100776 USD, a -0.2% decrease from an hour ago and a -0.8% decrease from yesterday. The value of BCD today is 57.8% higher than it was 7 days ago.
Some of these tokens have weathered their crypto winters to a market increase. GoChain (GO) is currently at $0.004472009363, a -0.5% decrease from an hour ago and a 7.9% gain from yesterday. The value of GO today is 4.6% higher than it was 7 days ago.
Beam (BEAM) is currently at $0.012689524465, a -1.7% decrease from an hour ago and an 8.2% increase from yesterday. BEAM’s value now is 40.6% higher than it was seven days ago.
