The event, started from March 11 to March 22, focused on the theme “Accelerating the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls by addressing poverty and strengthening institutions and financing with a gender perspective.”

The conference highlighted the urgent need for accelerated progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in addressing poverty and strengthening institutions with a gender perspective. Solutions discussed included investing in policies and programs that address gender inequalities, boosting women’s leadership, and closing gender gaps in employment.
