Cardano sync issues leave Users struggling to add accounts

Ledger, a hardware wallet supplier, has reported a glitch that prevents users from transferring Cardano assets or setting up a new account. The problem is linked to an incompatibility between Ledger Live and the Cardano blockchain, presenting an error message when users attempt to transfer assets or add a fresh account.

Ledger announced that it was investigating the issue and would provide updates as soon as possible. In the meantime, users are advised not to send Cardano assets or add new accounts. Users have also been advised to be vigilant and contact customer support if they encounter any issues while trying to send Cardano assets or create a new account.

The wallet provider declared that the problem had been resolved and that users should be able to conduct normal transactions on Ledger Live approximately two hours after the Ledger support staff discovered it.

Ledger support for Cardano-based tokens

Ledger Live announced support for ADA in June 2022, enabling users to transmit, receive, purchase, and manage ADA in real time.

Ledger Live extended support for 100 more Cardano-based tokens a month later. Ledger supports a number of other tokens, including World Mobile Token (WMT), ADAX (ADAX), and many more.

The most recent weekly development update from IOHK included data on network expansion. 1,205 projects are using ADA at the moment. Recently, 117 projects in total have been created on Cardano, and there have been 61.8 million transactions.

Currently, there are 7.83 million ADA native coins spread over 70,039 policies. 5,857 Plutus scripts were present, 762 of which were Plutus V2 scripts. According to statistics from CoinMarketCap, ADA is currently trading at $0.362, hardly down over the past 24 hours.
