Cardano’s EMURGO Onboards Huawei Cloud Node Validator: Details
EMURGO, a leading blockchain solutions provider partner for Cardano has announced a strategic partnership with Huawei Cloud, a global cloud computing platform. The collaboration was designed to support Web3 solutions via Cardano.
EMURGO shared details of the new alliance underscoring its growing reach to major tech giants around the world.
Implications of the EMURGO and Huawei Cloud Partnership
Details of the partnership reveal that the aim is to expand support for a Cardano validator node on Huawei Cloud. This will integrate Huawei’s robust cloud infrastructure into the Cardano network.
The initiative will empower developers to harness Huawei’s cloud capabilities to develop innovative Web3 solutions on the Cardano blockchain. This helps in catalyzing growth and fostering Web3 adoption across the Asia Pacific and Africa regions.
By establishing a Cardano validator node on Huawei Cloud, EMURGO and Huawei pave the way for future collaborations which would drive commercial adoption within the blockchain space. The partnership signals the first step towards a broader collaboration. Both firms have plans in place for further initiatives such as hosting events and engaging in technology collaborations.

Huawei Cloud infrastructure currently supports Ethereum (ETH) by hosting full nodes, including execution and beacon nodes. The tech giant’s involvement also extends to the Tron (TRX) ecosystem where it is helping to protect validators against risks to help ensure there are no single points of failure.
Cardano developers can enhance their capabilities in building Web3 solutions given the access they now have to Huawei Cloud’s computing resources. This will further strengthen the interoperability and scalability of Cardano’s cloud services. Additionally, it will allow Cardano to gain entry to Huawei’s Marketplace, opening up opportunities for collaboration with leading enterprises.
Future Prospects for Web3
Ken Kodama, CEO of EMURGO, highlighted the prospects of the partnership, emphasizing the shared vision to accelerate Web3 adoption, and foster transparency and trust in the cloud ecosystem.
According to him, “This partnership represents our shared vision to accelerate Web3 adoption while enabling transparency and trust in the cloud ecosystem.”
On his part, Rex Lei Yang, Managing Director of Huawei Cloud Singapore, shared Kodama’s sentiment by highlighting the partnership’s potential to connect Huawei Cloud with a vast network of Web3 developers through Cardano.
As one of the founding members of the Cardano protocol, EMURGO plays a pivotal role in advancing the commercial opportunities within the Cardano ecosystem. Established in Japan in 2015, EMURGO facilitates the expansion and realization of Cardano’s full potential through strategic partnerships, educational initiatives, investments, and infrastructure development.
Analysts say the new partnership between EMURGO and Huawei Cloud will play a pivotal role in expanding Cardano’s presence in key regional economies across the Asia Pacific and Africa. This broad outreach is essential in Cardano’s journey as it continues to revolutionize the Web3 space.
