He embarked on a sabbatical in 2018, reflecting a dedication to personal growth and exploration, before returning to continue his impactful work within the bank’s technology ecosystem.
Renato Menna, another esteemed figure among the newly appointed Distinguished Engineers, brings a wealth of experience from the banking and big tech sectors. Having previously held the position of Head of Financial Risk Domain Architecture at Deutsche Bank, Menna ventured into the realm of technology giants by joining Meta in 2021.
During his tenure at the FAANG company, Menna spearheaded teams responsible for eCommerce platforms, showcasing his versatility and leadership acumen. However, his passion for the banking sector led him back to Deutsche Bank after a brief stint, where he now serves as the Head of Architecture for CRO, with additional responsibilities in risk and capital.
