Donald Trump has regained his lead on Polymarket against Kamala Harris. The two leads in the upcoming November elections have become a betting item for crypto and tradFi voters. Polymarket’s popularity has risen ahead of the U.S. elections.
The upcoming US POTUS elections have become a global spectacle for what mainstream media control is and boycotted democracy. The former US President now has a 52% chance of winning the 2024 presidential election, compared to Kamala Harris’ 47%.
Previously, the US Vice President took the lead and maintained it on Polymarket after Joe Biden withdrew from the campaign. This was owing to the momentum of Kamala Harris’ campaign, which saw her chances rise to 52%.
Following Donald Trump’s surge in the polls, initial reactions focused on supposed claims that Kamala Harris would support a 25% unrealized gains tax. While this is not confirmed, people have taken to X (previously Twitter) to condemn such claimed policy directions.
Cardano co-founder Charles Hoskinson stated that a 25% tax on unrealized gains is the most unconstitutional theft suggested by a political party.
It’s important to note that Polymarket, which officially prohibits U.S. residents from using the platform, began the election with a high price tag for Trump. It’s easy to reject its accuracy due to its ban on Americans—the actual voters—as market players.
Kamala Harris accused of faking polls
Kamala has been accused of faking polls with the help of the polling organization in recent rallies and of photoshopping crowds at her events. In an interview on Fox News Sunday, Sen. J.D. Vance alleged that “The media uses fake polls to drive down Republican turnout and to create dissension and conflict with Republican voters.”
Vance also said, “If you talk to insiders in the Kamala Harris campaign, they’re very worried about where they are.” Fox host Shannon Bream said to Vance, “Another poll we got, out this morning, Washington Post-ABC, they’re giving the vice president nationally a four to five-point lead.
Shannon adds, “Those are new numbers, so if you think the momentum is not swinging, or your internal polls are suggesting differently, every other poll that’s been released has shown great momentum in her direction.” Vance responded saying:
I think there are a lot of polls […] that show her stagnating and leveling off. Of course, ABC-Washington Post was a wildly inaccurate pollster in the summer of 2020. And look, if you’re seeing the numbers that we’re seeing, and you actually talk to the American people, I feel extremely confident that we’re gonna be in the right place come November.
