Donald Trump says Elon Musk will not fit into his White House cabinet

Donald Trump recently made it clear that Elon Musk, the billionaire behind Tesla and SpaceX, isn’t exactly cabinet material for his White House.

Even though Elon has jumped on the Trump train lately, Trump isn’t convinced that Elon could juggle running his companies and being part of his government team.

“He wants to be involved. But look, he’s got big businesses to run. I don’t think he could handle being in the cabinet. I’d put him there, sure, but with everything he’s got going on? I just don’t see it.”

Trump’s comment seems like a way to keep some space between himself and Elon, especially if he wins the election against Kamala Harris in November.

Sure, they’re buddies now, but not too long ago, these two were throwing shade at each other on social media and at rallies. Now, suddenly, they’re allies? It’s a bit weird, right?

Elon has been getting deeper into right-wing politics, and last month he even publicly endorsed Trump. This came right after the assassination attempt on Trump, which.

And if that wasn’t enough, Elon also helped set up a pro-Trump super PAC back in May. Trump, on the other hand, has been getting back on X (formerly Twitter), Elon’s platform, after sticking to his own Truth Social for a while.

So, they’re friendly now, but Trump’s not about to give Elon a real job in his administration.

It wasn’t that long ago that Trump and Elon were basically calling each other names. Now, they’re talking about working together? It’s a wild turn of events, but that’s politics for you.

Elon said he’d be happy to help with a “government efficiency commission” if Trump wins another term. “I think it would be great,” Elon said during the chat with Trump on X.
