The highly anticipated EDCON 2023 (Community Ethereum Development Conference) is set to take place in Podgorica, Montenegro, from May 19-23, 2023.
The conference will bring together some of the brightest minds in the blockchain community, who will offer keynote speeches, technical workshops, and panel discussions on a range of topics, including blockchain regulation, blockchain after the Merge, Layer 3, decentralized society, and decentralized governance.
Vitalik Buterin, the Ethereum co-founder, is scheduled to deliver a speech on the current state of blockchain and make a surprise announcement about student education support.
The list of speakers features other influential figures such as Balaji Srinivasan (author of the Network State), Scott Moore (co-founder of Gitcoin), Primavera De Filippi (Blockchain researcher at CNRS and the Berkman Klein Center at Harvard University), Tim Beiko (Ethereum Foundation), Barry Whitehat (Ethereum Foundation), Cy Li (Director of De University of Ethereum). Ethereum and blockchain technology to be discussed
The Expert Panel of core developers and researchers will provide exclusive insights into Ethereum’s plans, while individuals or companies will present their projects aimed at advancing Ethereum technology and ecosystem to a panel of judges during the EDCON Super Demo competition. The top three teams will be privileged to showcase their projects to the world on the main EDCON conference stage.
In addition to the speeches and presentations, EDCON 2023 will offer educational activities. The goal is to welcome newcomers to the blockchain space and give them a fundamental understanding of the technology, namely through educational content created by members of the Ethereum Foundation and industry leaders.
