Hamster Kombat, a Telegram-based game, has garnered 239 million users in less than 90 days. According to Telegram founder Pavel Durov, the game’s viral growth and upcoming airdrop on the TON blockchain will likely attract more people to blockchain technology.

Pavel Durov, Telegram’s founder, heralded Hamster Kombat for gaining over 200 million users in 3 months. The Play to Earn game is integrated into the Telegram App. Durov shared his optimism on his Telegram channel, stating that it is a transformative force in the digital asset market. He added that the game could change how blockchain is incorporated into mass-market applications.
Hamster Kombat experiences rapid ascent
Pavel Durov highlighted Telegram-based Hamster Kombat’s success on his personal Telegram channel. He shared his optimism about the game’s rapid rise and potential contributions to blockchain integration. Durov stated that 239 million users had joined the Telegram mini app in less than 90 days. He also added that Kombat had reached 100 million users 73 days after its launch.
Durov also announced that the game attracts more than four million new users daily and is one of the fastest-growing digital services in the world. According to gamers, Hamster Kombat capitalizes on its simplistic approach and accessibility, attracting users from all age groups.
Durov also reiterated his earlier sentiments, stating that a new wave of Mini apps is fast approaching and that Hamster Kombat is an example of their potential.

Shortly after the founder’s post, Hamster Kombat announced it had introduced a final level for avatars to reach. Players were informed they needed to accrue 18 billion in-game coins to access ‘the creator’ level.
Hamster to introduce native token on TON blockchain
Telegram’s founder added that Hamster Kombat’s much-anticipated airdrop could introduce the benefits of blockchain technology to more people. According to the game’s official roadmap on Kombat’s website, the game’s in-game wallet implementation and infrastructure development were completed in June.
“Soon, Hamster’s team will mint its token on TON, introducing the benefits of blockchain to hundreds of millions of people. A new era is arriving, and we are witnessing its arrival in real-time.”

Developers reported that Kombat would enhance its gaming dynamics by launching a native token on the TON blockchain. They added that integrating TON wallets would provide a foundation for Web3 transactions. Kombat has not announced more details on the token launch; however, users can link their games to TON wallets since June 2024.

Hamster Kombat’s developers have also commented on their YouTube and X platforms, encouraging players to focus on profit per hour. They added that profit per hour is more important than coin balance, and players should consider the metric ahead of the token airdrop.
