The convincing-looking AI-generated scam videos often tout some kind of Bitcoin promotion that promises to “double” one’s Bitcoin.
MicroStrategy executive chairman Michael Saylor reveals his team works to remove around 80 AI-generated fake videos of him daily — most of which promote some kind of Bitcoin-related scam.
In a Jan. 13 post on X, Saylor warned his 3.2 million X followers about the large swathe of deep fake videos found on YouTube, warning that “the scammers keep launching more.”
“There is no risk-free way to double your #bitcoin, and @MicroStrategy doesn't give away $BTC to those who scan a barcode,” he reiterated.
