Web 3.0 gaming leader Planetarium Labs has inked a strategic partnership with Immutable to enhance scalability in the blockchain gaming industry. As announced, the deal is aimed at building the highly anticipated Immortal Rising 2 on Immutable, a move that will bring unparalleled scalability, security, and accessibility to the Web 3.0 gaming community.
Immortal Rising 2 Improves on Immortal Rising 1
This Immortal Rising 2 is a part of the Immortal Rising franchise that has seen more than 2 million downloads. Upon its launch, the franchise rose to become the leading game in the simulation genre and reigned at that position for close to eight months. Planetarium Labs’ focus in this strategic collaboration is to enhance Web 3.0 gaming experience. It plans to achieve this with faster transaction speeds, zero gas fees, and robust security.

In Kim’s opinion, a partnership with Immutable drives this Web 3.0 gaming revolution further. Similarly, Andrew Sorokovsky, VP of Business Development at Immutable, acknowledged that the partnership between both blockchain firms will set new standards in the industry. This includes blending Immortal Rising 2’s forward-thinking game development with Immutable’s advanced technological capabilities.
Immortal Rising 2 will be a fusion of features and mechanisms from its predecessor Immortal Rising 1. It will also come with other enhanced functionalities. It will embody improved stylish combat action, an isometric view, diverse skill tree combinations, engaging guild content, and sustainable tokenomics.
Planetarium Labs Boosting Web 3.0 Gaming Ecosystem
The first time Immortal Rising 2 was previewed was at the 2023 Korea Blockchain Week (KBW). It was unveiled by Planetarium Labs alongside Verse 8, an open-source, decentralized rogue-like RPG protocol with a rich multiverse backstory. At the time, it stated that Verse8 and Immortal Rising 2 are built on the success of Nine Chronicles. Nine Chronicles is the company’s first fully on-chain idle RPG game.
Currently, there are two key milestones ahead of Immortal Rising 2. This includes the pre-registration for the game and the launch which is scheduled for later this year.
Another significant milestone for Planetarium Labs and the broad Web 3.0 gaming sector was the unveiling of the ‘Prelude to Guild War’ event earlier this year. Noteworthy, the ‘Prelude to Guild War’ serves as a pilot event. It marks a crucial chapter in Nine Chronicles M’s journey into the realms of Web 3.0 gaming.
