Jefferies announced that Shadows of Doubt would officially launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam on September 26. However, the fully immersive haptic feedback through wireless game controllers would be exclusively available to PS5 gamers.
According to Sean, the publishing business development manager at Fireshine Games, Shadows of Doubt hit over 1,000 reviews (with a 90% positive rating) on Steam days after its release on early access. However, the simulated sci-fi detective game currently has nearly 10K Steam reviews with a ‘positive’ ranking of 91%.
ColePowered Games claimed that the upcoming full version release would include ‘bug-free’ and ‘feedback-based’ additional content and optimizations for a more rounded and refined experience. The game developers mentioned that the updated upcoming release would add new locations, improved cases such as kidnappings, and new options for citizen interactions.
“It’s a game that can be as deep or complex as you’d like it to be, and we’ve worked hard to build intricate systems that power the sandbox behind the game’s crimes and citizens to make it as fun and fresh to play no matter your playstyle.”

According to ColePowered Games, more details will be shared in the coming weeks, and the price will likely increase on August 23 from $19.99 to $24.99.
Shadows of Doubt expands from PC to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S
Xbox and PlayStation announced on their official websites that Shadows of Doubt would launch in September. According to the Xbox website, the game’s Xbox version will support 12 languages, including English, German, and Chinese.
For the PS5 version, Jefferies affirmed that it would have Sync Disks through which players would be able to update their genetics for permanent upgrades and increasing Social Credit levels. According to Jefferies, every time a player found a Sync Disk in the city or received one as a reward, they would be given choices from a selection of upgrades, with some introducing RPG-like elements.
Importantly, players on both consoles could play Shadows of Doubt with different builds across different generated cities.
