The CEO of Tether Paolo Ardoino responded to OpenAI’s recent hack by claiming localized AI models are the key to ensuring independence and privacy and preventing future hacks.
The CEO of the blockchain platform Tether, Paolo Ardoino claims that only if artificial intelligence (AI) models are localized will people and privacy be protected.
Ardoino said that locally executable AI models will also ensure the resilience and independence of the models.
He pointed to the latest technology available to users such as smartphones and laptops, saying they contain enough power to “fine tune general large language models (LLMs) with user's own data, preserving enhancements locally to the device.”
