Tokyo Blockchain Leaders Summit Announced Speakers and Sponsors

Blockchain venture capital firms Hashed and B Dash Ventures announced the lineup of sponsors and key partners for the 2024 Tokyo Blockchain Leaders Summit — an event that those firms jointly organize.

The event’s organizers plan to leverage the summit to highlight ventures that apply blockchain technology to infrastructure, finance, gaming, entertainment, and regulation. The event will host panels and lectures allowing participants to discuss the latest trends and explore opportunities for collaboration through networking. Hashed CEO Simon Seojoon Kim said:

This will be an opportunity for influential leaders in the global Web3 ecosystem and key companies from various industries in Japan to explore practical collaborations.

The event is scheduled for July 24 and is an invitation-only summit that aims to include global blockchain leaders with a focus on Japan and Korea. The summit is supported by 11 sponsors including key players in the industry such as Startale Labs — the core developer of Astar Network, web3 space. Startale Labs, the core developer of Astar Network, is among the sponsors. LINE's web3 subsidiary LINE NEXT and the upcoming mainnet Kaia.

Other notable investors include Aptos Labs — a Layer 1 blockchain using the MOVE language, and Avalanche, which focuses on building decentralized application-specific blockchain networks. Furthermore, SBI Group’s SBI VC Trade crypto exchange and CERES — the operator of crypto exchange CoinTrade and Moppy website — also decided to chip in.

The speaker lineup features industry leaders and innovators. Seung Yoon "SY" Lee from Story Protocol and Sungmin Kim from HYBE Binary will share their insights. Can Sun of Backpack Exchange, Guy Young of Ethena Labs, and Joseph Baek of Modhaus are also slated to speak. The event will benefit from political perspective with Masaaki Taira, a member of the Japanese House of Representatives, joining as a speaker.

Representatives from major Japanese companies are also participating, including Hamasaki Kosuke from Sanrio and Ueno Ryotaro from TOEI Animation. Rounding out the speaker list are Leona Hioki, co-founder of INTMAX, and Noritaka Okabe, CEO of JPYC.
