XDefiant has recently announced that on May 21st, XDefian will be live on PC, Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 5. XDefiant was grateful to everyone who participated in the Server Test Session of the game. After a successful test period and sufficient feedback, XDefiant will finally launch on all mentioned platforms in pre-season mode.
According to XDefiant’s announcement, the preseason launch will last for about six weeks before moving into a full-blown seasonal cadence. The announcement also mentions the preseason will start exactly on May 21st, 2024, at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET.
The game content available during the first week will be preseason content that was previously available during the server test session. The available Factions will include Echeleon, Phantoms, Cleaners, Libertad, and Dedsec, which will only be available after unlocking or purchasing.

How Ubisoft is Planning for XDefiant’s Future
Aside from announcing XDefiant’s new launch date, Ubisoft has also shared its major plans for the year ahead. Ubisoft went ahead to assure us of an exciting year, with new content planned for every single season.
After the planned six-week reasons, XDefiant will shift to a seasonal cadence, and the players are promised new weapons, events, maps, and a new faction to top it up. These updates are scheduled quarterly, giving a total of four factions, 12 weapons, and 12 maps in a complete year.
The first year’s roadmap will include the four factions, Ruby, Buzz, Orchard, and Horde, as the faction codenames. We’ll then have three weapons and three maps in each season. All four factions will receive 90 tiers Battle Pass with ranked mode and private matches.
